Lego Robotics Daycamp Workshop offered by AABEA-SV: July 22-23 - REGISTRATION FORM

We are pleased to announce the first AABEA-SV Lego Robotics Workshop offered to the next generation Engineers and Technologists and also all the Lego-Maniacs and Robotics Enthusiasts amongst us.

The subsidized cost of the event is $150 per person. Lunch and snacks will be provided both days. Also, we will be providing Laptops and Lego Robotics Mindstorms kits for the duration of the event. The venue will be in MCA, Santa Clara - details will be announced later.

LEGO Robotics RCX Workshop 1
lego1 An exciting introduction to the LEGO Mindstorms RCX Robotics Invention System. Learn mechanical design, construction, programming & teamwork skills. In pairs, using LEGO building elements, motors & sensors, students build different robots & program them with a computer to move, react & make sounds to solve challenges. This class is a good introduction for kids or mentors interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League. The minimum age is 8 and adults are welcome to register.    Please bring a sack lunch for a 45-minute lunch break.
 
LEGO Robotics RCX Workshop 2
This class introduces intermediate level topics in building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms RCX Robotics Invention System. Students with previous LEGO Mindstorms experience practice mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. In pairs, using LEGO parts, motors and sensors, students build at least two different robot models and use a computer to program their robots to move, react, and make sounds in order to solve challenges. This class is good preparation for kids or mentors interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League.  Previous LEGO Mindstorms class or instructor approval is required for this workshop. Bring a sack lunch for 45 minute lunch break. lego2
